He honoured the visionary forefathers who dreamed of the state and acknowledged Chief Minister Shri Sai\u2019s leadership in launching various welfare initiatives, particularly to boost agriculture and the rural economy. He highlighted ongoing efforts for the welfare of tribals, women, and youth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Governor remarked on the strong foundation Chhattisgarh has built over the past 23 years, shaping its unique cultural identity and striving for cultural enrichment. He emphasised the state\u2019s rich resources\u2014forests, minerals, and skilled human capital\u2014and called for their sustainable and balanced use. He urged citizens to commit to working collectively for the state\u2019s development.Governor Deka also addressed the need for peace as a foundation for progress, acknowledging the challenges posed by Naxal violence in some regions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n He affirmed that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi\u2019s leadership, the central and state governments are making joint efforts to address this issue, with hopes that Chhattisgarh will soon be free from violence and move swiftly along its development path. The Governor encouraged citizens to contribute to the state\u2019s progress and take a pledge to protect Chhattisgarh\u2019s public assets and cultural heritage, inspiring others to do the same.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Addressing the Rajyotsav, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai reflected on Chhattisgarh’s journey from its days as part of united Madhya Pradesh to its current era of growth. He stated that those who experienced life in Chhattisgarh before statehood remember the hardships, with frequent droughts forcing farmers to migrate for work. It was only when Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee became Prime Minister that Chhattisgarh’s challenges were recognised, leading to the creation of the state. Now, 24 years later, Chhattisgarh is progressing rapidly on its development path.Chief Minister Sai highlighted the importance of cultural representation in the Rajyotsav celebrations, where folk artists are given pride of place to showcase their talents alongside Chhollywood and Bollywood performers. Congratulating all the artists, he emphasised that art is a powerful medium of expression and that Chhattisgarh\u2019s rich cultural heritage is reflected in its diverse array of artists. The government actively supports folk songs, arts, and other forms, with Shilp Grams established to promote local craftsmanship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Chief Minister underscored the value of preserving Chhattisgarh\u2019s festivals, temples, and traditional Madai Mela, affirming that culture is a cornerstone of development. “Culture guides our developmental direction, setting priorities and shaping citizens\u2019 conduct and values,” he said, noting that the government draws inspiration from cultural heritage in policy-making.<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n Following Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision, the state has created a “Viksit Chhattisgarh” vision document that prioritises cultural preservation. Chief Minister Shri Sai explained that Chhattisgarh\u2019s natural beauty and rich cultural heritage present great potential for tourism. Significant efforts are underway to develop religious and historical sites associated with Lord Shri Ram, as well as locations linked to Mata Shabari and Mata Kaushalya. Pilgrimage sites like Rajim, Sirpur, Madheswara, and Bhoramdev are also being revitalised.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Chief Minister Sai emphasised the preservation and promotion of Chhattisgarh\u2019s handicrafts, including the encouragement of Khadi garments with a 25% discount. “The protection and okpromotion of our culture is the highest priority of the state government,” he stated, adding, “This state has been built by us, and it will continue to thrive through our collective efforts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n “On this occasion, Chhattisgarh Natural Tourism Magazine and Culture Department’s magazine ‘Bihaniya’ were released.
