Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai inaugurated the newly constructed Divisional Commissioner Office building in the Koni of Bilaspur on November 15. Built at a cost of around Rs. 12 crore, the fully equipped building has been developed on approximately two-and-a-half acres of land along the banks of the Arpa River.
It is noteworthy that the office complex includes a basement, ground floor and first floor, with each floor covering an area of 1,620 sq. metres. The ground floor consists of 10 rooms and a large hall, while the first floor has 12 rooms, one hall and separate sanitation facilities. The building accommodates dedicated chambers for the Divisional Commissioner and Additional Commissioner, courtrooms, meeting rooms, and offices for the Deputy Commissioner (Revenue), Development and Accounts Officers, along with separate staff rooms. Adequate arrangements have also been made for the convenience of advocates and litigants in the new premises.
On this occasion, Deputy Chief Minister and district in-charge minister Arun Sao, Union Minister of State Tokhan Sahu, MLAs Dharamlal Kaushik, Amar Agrawal, Dharamjeet Singh, Sushant Shukla, Shri Atal Shrivastava, Shri Dileep Lahariya, Mayor. Pooja Vidhani, Divisional Commissioner Sunil Jain, IG Sanjeev Shukla, Collector Sanjay Agrawal, SSP Shri Rajneesh Singh, along with a large number of public representatives, officials and prominent citizens were present.
