AmritToday / Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai inaugurated the “Sankalp Jashpur” program today in Duldula area of Jashpur district. This program has been initiated with the objective of creating societal awareness and behavioral change across the district and to educate women on preventing child marriage, vaccination, sickle cell disease, and snakebite prevention.
Supported by district administration, UNICEF, Women and Child Development Department, Health Department, Education Department, and NRLM, volunteers are conducting awareness campaigns in over 160 panchayats for the public representatives and common people. The campaign includes street plays based on the issues of sickle cell, anemia, snakebite safety, mother-child vaccination, school enrollment drives, plantation drive, as well as prevention and management of health and waterborne diseases, aiming to impart crucial information for public welfare.
Chief Minister Sai also launched videos and cut-outs as part of the Sankalp program. The program was attended by UNICEF district coordinator Tejaram Sarathi and his team, district administration officials, and a number of dignitaries.
