Amrittoday / A delegation of the office-bearers and members of the Public Dahi Handi Festival Committee, Gudhiyari paid courtesy call on Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai today at his residence office.
The delegation extended an invitation to the Chief Minister to attend Dahi Handi festival competition to be organized on August 27, on the occasion of Krishna Janmashtami. Chief Minister Sai thanked the delegation for the invitation. Prabal Pratap Singh Judev, the coordinator, Shri Basant Agrawal, co-coordinator Hemendra Sahu, and other officials were also present on the occasion.
Coordinator Agrawal informed that Govinda groups from not only the state but also from Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Odisha, and other states will be participating in the competition. He mentioned that the committee has arranged for a cultural program featuring devotional singer Baba Hansraj Raghuwanshi and Chhattisgarh’s beloved daughters Garima-Swarna Diwakar for the entertainment of Krishna devotees. Additionally, there will be a special performance of the Ghanta Baja by artists from Odisha. The enchanting depiction of Krishna Leela by artists from Vrindavan will be a major highlight of the event.
