The security forces in Dantewada have got significant success against the Naxalites.
overall,
71 Naxalites surrendered to the security forces.
The notable fact in this surrender is that 30 of these Naxalites are such that the government had rewarded for various crimes.
A total reward of Rs 64 lakh was declared on these 30 Naxalites, which shows their seriousness and their involvement in Naxalite activities.
All these Naxalites were active in various fields and have been related to many deadly Naxalite incidents.
These Naxalites decided to surrender under the ‘Lone Vratu Abhiyan’ in Dantewada.
The purpose of this campaign is to bring local youth into the mainstream and to weaken the roots of Naxalism. 
This incident of surrender was carried out in the presence of Dantewada Superintendent of Police Gaurav Roy and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) officials, which makes the process safe and transparent.
