A 14-member media delegation from Raipur left for Ahmedabad today for a five-day study tour (20–24 July) to examine Gujarat’s major development projects, advanced industries, transport infrastructure, heritage sites and research institutions, enabling accurate, development-focused reporting and deeper public understanding of national-scale initiatives and technological innovations.
Description : A 14-member delegation comprising journalists from print, electronic and digital media, along with two Press Information Bureau officers, departed Raipur Sunday evening for a five-day study tour of Gujarat (20–24 July). The program will include a visit to the PIB office in Ahmedabad, Kocharb Ashram, and an overview of the Mumbai–Ahmedabad high-speed rail project and Sabarmati multimodal transport hub to study modern transport infrastructure. Participants will observe the Lothal Indus Valley heritage site and the developing National Maritime Heritage Complex.
The itinerary also includes a visit to the Micron semiconductor plant to learn about domestic semiconductor manufacturing, Anand’s Amul cooperative to study its dairy model, and an IOC refinery to review energy and refining processes. Delegates will tour the Statue of Unity and Sardar Sarovar Dam to understand water management, irrigation, energy and tourism impacts, and conclude with sessions at the National Forensic Sciences University and GIFT City on forensics, cyber security and financial technology
