The Union Cabinet has approved two major infrastructure projects in Bihar to enhance regional connectivity and economic growth:
Doubling of Bakhtiyarpur-Rajgir-Tilaiya railway line section (104 km) at a cost of ₹2,192 crore to provide seamless connectivity for movement of people, goods, and services.
Construction of 4-lane Sahebganj-Areraj-Bettiah section (NH-139W) under Hybrid Annuity Mode, covering 78 km+ at a cost of ₹3800 crore+.
