Raipur, February 28th – Narayan Seva Sansthan, a renowned NGO based in Udaipur, Rajasthan, and recipient of national accolades, is set to organize a massive free artificial limb camp for the differently-abled individuals in Chhattisgarh. The camp will be held on March 17th at the Jain Dadawadi premises on MG Road in Raipur.
Mr. Devendra Chaubisa, trustee and director of the organization, highlighted the commitment of Narayan Seva Sansthan towards alleviating the distressing lives of individuals who have become physically impaired due to accidents or other illnesses. Inspired by the vision of Padma Shri awardee founder Kailash Manav, the organization has been serving in the field of humanity and disability for the past 39 years.
With a determination to assist the differently-abled individuals of Chhattisgarh, the organization will conduct a vast free artificial limb distribution operation, along with the Narayan Artificial Limb Measurement Camp, at Jain Dadawadi, MG Road, Raipur, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Sunday, March 17th. This initiative is part of the organization’s “Well of Compassion” plan, aiming to provide aid to those in need.
Mr. Rajat Gaur, the Head of Mahagangotri , emphasized that this camp is a special endeavor of Narayan Seva Sansthan. Differently-abled individuals will be assessed by the experienced and specialized orthotist and prosthetic team of the organization. They will receive meticulously crafted, lightweight, and durable artificial limbs. Approximately two months later, the organization will conduct a free fitting camp for modular artificial limbs based on the patients’ requirements.
For this camp, the organization has invited esteemed personalities of Raipur and ministers of the Chhattisgarh government. Over 30 local organizations, including Manav Seva Sansthan, Mangal Bhavan, Akhand Brahman Samaj Seva Samiti, and various others, have joined as volunteer collaborators for this noble cause.
Mr. Bhagwan Prasad Gaur, the organization’s media coordinator, urged the differently-abled individuals to take advantage of this camp. Interested individuals are required to bring their Aadhaar card, disability certificate, and two photos displaying their disability.
Established in 1985, Narayan Seva Sansthan has been dedicatedly serving under the ethos of selfless service and humanitarianism. Its founder, Kailash Manav, has been honored with the Padma Shri award by the President of India for his contributions to humanitarian work. The organization’s president, Prashant Agrawal, has strengthened millions of differently-abled individuals mentally, physically, and economically through medical, educational, skill development, and sports academies. In 2023, Agrawal was honored with the President’s award.
Till date, the organization has provided over 41,200 artificial limbs, extending a renewed lease of life to 3000 individuals from Raipur, Chhattisgarh, alone.
